Before Jesus died and rose from the dead, the disciples had their own agenda for Him.  But when the risen Christ revealed himself to them, their agendas were surrendered and their lives would never be the same. This life-chafing realty is true for all who have received Christ.  The reality of the resurrection of Christ means that God can gain our attention through all kinds of circumstances as we surrender our own agendas.
